We have 15 cottages and cabins to choose
from; whether you are looking for a
weekend sabbatical, a romantic get away or
a family gathering. All our cabins offer a full
kitchen, wireless Internet and cable
television. Some units also offer wood
burning fireplaces for those cozy fall and
winter evenings.

76 Years in Business
In 1932 farmers used to stop at The Pines
on their way to and from Western North
Carolina and Tennessee while taking their
goods to the markets in Asheville. At that
time there was also a trolley that ran
between Weaverville and Asheville, right
past The Pine's door.

The Pines offers an alternative to the downtown or chain hotel. We are close to Asheville, Biltmore House,
rafting, hiking, skiing, restaurants,shops, and are easily accessible off Interstate 26 (19/23). We are family
and pet friendly and can provide a place to come home to after a busy day of sightseeing, hiking, exploring,
shopping, fishing, or golfing - or stay here on your cottage porch and enjoy a good book. We look forward

lodging. Families love to gather here year round, weather it's enjoying conversation by the fireplace or
relaxing on one of the lovely stone porches in the summer. Allen Shumaker purchased the property
six years ago. Even though he is continuously making changes, improving the quality for his guests,
the Pines appears much as it did in the beginning. Many of the cottages have recently been
refurbished to reflect a nostalgic feel. Although The Pines appears to step back into time, they offer
some of the latest amenities. Such as wireless Internet, cable television, and fully equipped kitchens.
Being Pet friendly enables us to give our guests that extra incentive to bring along their whole family.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank our devoted guests for coming back year after year,
